Choose the right time
A bright, dry day without strong direct sunlight is usually best. Cleaning water dries too quickly on hot glass and can leave streaks. Safety must come first when wind is strong or exterior surfaces are difficult to reach.
Work from the frame to the glass
Remove loose dust from the frame and windowsill first. Clean frames and seals before washing the panes. A small amount of product, clean water and a dry squeegee usually produce a more even finish.
- Clear the windowsill
- Remove loose dust and cobwebs
- Clean frames and seals first
- Wash the glass sparingly and use a clean squeegee
- Dry the edges with a lint-free cloth
When to request professional help
Numerous or very large windows can take longer than expected. When requesting the service, describe the number, approximate size and accessibility of the windows. This helps the work to be planned realistically and agreed before the appointment.
